Sale of Land Esther McGuire and Polly McGuire Priest (Ruel)

 

“THIS INDENTURE, made this 23rd day of October, 1817, between Esther McGuire mother and heir at law of John McGuire deceased, and Polly Preeces late Polly McGuire, Solomon McGuire, Henry B. Mayo and George Martin, heirs at law of the said John McGuire, deceased and Jonathan Mayo, Woodson Smith, Peter Amyx, commissioners appointed by the County of Floyd agreeable to an act of Assembly in that case made and provided for in behalf of the infant heirs of the said John McGuire deceased all of the County of Floyd and State of Kentucky of the one part and Thomas Mayo, of the County

and State aforesaid

 

WITNESSETH: That the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of seventy five dollars by the said Thomas Mayo to the said deceased and to Solomon McGuire administrator of said deceased in hand paid the receipt whereof has beech duly acknowledge in open Court hath and by these presents do give, grant, bargain, sell and confirm unto the said Thomas Mayo, his heirs and assigns forever on certain tract of land situate lying and being on Johns Creek and in the County aforesaid containing 50 acres be the same more or less and boundaries as follow, viz:”
